Just in case SPOILERS

There is certain characters that not matter the path Wylfred choose, they end dead anyway... Langrey, Roienbourg are the examples.

Is like Wylfred is Fate to all the characters in the game. I wonder what happen to the ones with don´t see in the storyline while we take a path. There is no problem until the end of Chapter I, but the serfs´s rebellion for example, if you side with Natalia and Earnest, Darius commit suicide, you kill Heugoe in Auwellyn, what happen to Gwendal and the twins? It would make sense that Gwendal is killed when the group discover Villnore´s deception, and the twins are probably kill in battle in Aullewyn, by their mother´s soldiers. Quite tragic, just choose other option, and the end is still tragic.

The one who appears as he is pretty safe of everything is Fauxnel, this is a character I love and hate at the same time, I don´t understand why he killed Cennair, he put Rosea and Lieselotte under suspiction, set up the attack that cost Nicolas his life and then, again, the set-up in Gressen City where a member of House Haughn is fated to fall... and all for Artolia? To restore his family´s name? Quite disturbing.

Possible Spoilers

This game followed pretty much the same idea of the first VP, regarding the multiple endings and how one chooses its own path, the story is really sad, from beginning to end.

I'm eager to know which kind of new VP tri-Ace will develop. I personally think that a VP based on Brahms would be good, as so far we've played by the side of the Aesir, the side of Humans and the side of Niffleheim, but nothing related to the Undead that are common in the games, plus if you played VP2, you will notice Brahms is not evil, and everything regarding him is a mystery.

Yeah the overall game -is- pretty sad, I cried a few times. Even the "happy" ending was depressing. >_>

I'm hoping the next Valkyrie Profile will explain the histories a bit more:

The back story of Silmeria prior to her sealing in Alicia was a bit muddled. Brahms somehow is inujured and hides his soul in Dylan? Silmeria siding with humans? I'd love to see how this happened!

Judging by VP/L, Hrist encounters Brahms at least once more during her reign (and most likely loses) in the true timeline. She also encounters Genevieve too, but it's not clear which reign it happens. These elements would be GREAT settings for Hrist's game.

Hrist is featured as the "evil one" of the Valkyries, so I think it may take a lot more of effort making players to side with her than with Brahms.

She's not paticularly evil because she showed a softer side in VP2. Although she didn't particular like humans, she genuinely cared about Alicia and did not want harm to come to her. In the true timeline, the last time they see each other is at the destroyed Dipan Castle. Alicia is killed shortly after by Odin so Hrist rebelling against Freya like in the altered timeline only proves how much she cared for Alicia.

I agree about Hrist, but I believe in the original timeline, the fact she couldn´t rescue Silmeria and Odin and Freya show they didn´t care about her fate, help to show that obssesed valkyrie we see in the game.

I would like to see more side stories until they are ready to release the new valkyrie profile. A game that would explore the Year Long War or the War of Camille Hill could give us an interasting backstory to Silmeria einherjar. I would like to see them as true characters and not as only generic einherjar

I'm also interested in seeing the story of Leone. I believe that Leone and Hrist are two different people - I know it sounds weird but I read somewhere in a Silmeria Shrine time line that LEONE was BORN in a certain time line which proves that she is - human - or the human vessel of Hrist.

In the original time line, I wonder if Hrist killed Alicia using the guillotine or did Alicia rebelled and escaped Hrist?

I donīt share you point of view about Hrist/Leone, but that doesnīt mean your therory is wrog. For me Leone is just the guise Hrist uses in Midgard, so she doesnīt wear her valkyrieīs armour... I donīt recall that info, so I guess I will search for it.

I believe Alicia, alongside Rufus, are killed by Odin at Yggdrassil in the original timeline.

Fauxnel lives, but that hardly means he gets off easy. He has to live with himself. Cennair's death was an accident, and while that doesn't excuse what he did afterward, by the time Wylfred comes along, he's not only seeking to restore his clan, but prevent Artolia from falling into a civil war.

I wouldn't want to be in his shoes. Although I wouldn't mind licking them.

About the Leone/Hrist thing, we had discussed that earlier but I forgot what we ultimately all agreed upon...and where that thread was... But I think we agreed that Leone was just a disguise for Hrist...I can't remember the evidence of why that was though. Was likely the scene where Lezards spies Leone collecting another soul...something that obviously had to be Hrist in control. Add to that, it took the Sovereign's Rite to place Silmeria into Alicia...so Leone was only a disguise Hrist had made and she was never an Einherjar.

Also, it's likely that Alicia and Rufus were killed by Odin at the top of Yggdrasil. It's clear they survived the incidents at Dipan, and from there it was just Rufus and Alicia. If it weren't for Lezard, Odin likely would have finished them off up there. Interestingly, that doesn't explain how Arngrim was reincarnated, or how the Dragon Orb was returned (Odin really didn't look like he wanted to return it...).

Hey, hey, guys, this is a forum about VPDS. Keep the VP2 discussion to the VP2 forum, please, unless it's relevant to VPDS. It was at first, but now it's been hijacked into discussions of the next VP games, and of VP2 characters.

I personally wish the game had showed Nicolas more. At least give him a face. Poor guy was reduced to a generic game sprite--and a dead one, at that!

I got VP Covenant for christmas, and I finally played it! So far so good, I got up to after the first battle and once you take control. I like how they are reusing some of the songs from VP2, It's nice. The world map is amazing and really beautiful. And I like how they remixed up the battle system.
